Anurag Gupta, a former Vice President of Amazon Aurora at AWS, co-founded Shoreline in Redwood City in 2019 to bring real-time automation to cloud operations. Having spent eight years building cloud infrastructure at Amazon-scale, Anurag understood that operations teams were drowning in manual incident response, fixing the same known issues repeatedly when those fixes could and should be automated. Shoreline's platform made it easy for operators to create automated remediations for well-known issues and scale them instantly across entire cloud fleets.

In June 2024, Shoreline was acquired by Nvidia for approximately $100 million, as the chipmaker continued to build out its software capabilities for data centre and cloud customers. Dawn participated in the company's Series B.
