Adina heads up legal and compliance at Dawn. She joined from Linklaters, where she trained and qualified as a corporate and M&A associate, working across London and Singapore on landmark cross-border transactions. At Dawn, she is the trusted legal and compliance backbone of the firm, making sure everything runs properly so the investment team can do what they do best.
I joined Dawn from Linklaters, where I trained and qualified as a corporate and M&A lawyer, working across London and Singapore. Those years gave me a strong grounding in high-profile, complex cross-border transactions, where navigating multiple jurisdictions, stakeholders and regulatory frameworks was part of the day-to-day.
Since joining Dawn in 2022 - and stepping into the role of Director of Legal and Compliance Officer in 2024 - I’ve been the legal and compliance partner across everything the firm does. On the investment side, that means advising on and negotiating terms, managing closing processes, and ensuring consistency across our legal documentation. I also work closely with our portfolio companies and support fundraising and fund structuring activities.
On the compliance side, I oversee Dawn’s regulatory framework, lead our anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing programme, and ensure our investor due diligence processes are robust and up to date. More broadly, my role is about enabling the firm to move quickly and confidently, with the right structures and safeguards in place.
I studied law at Queen Mary, University of London, completed my LPC at BPP and qualified as a solicitor in 2018. I speak English, Spanish and Romanian fluently, and have a working knowledge of French.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis and exploring new places. I spend as much time as possible with my family, often keeping up with a very energetic small child who has no interest in slowing down (and rightly so!).
Adina has an LLB (Hons) from Queen Mary, University of London. She undertook the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School and was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2018. She joined Dawn from Linklaters.
