An works across our Investor Relations and Marketing functions at Dawn, supporting our Head of Investor Relations, Hannah; our Communications Lead, Jack, and our Events & Community Lead, Sam.
I've spent the last two years at Dawn working in Investor Relations, which means I spend a lot of my time thinking about how to tell a story well and to the right people. The work sits at the intersection of narrative, relationships and trust, whether that's deep in a fundraise, shaping how Dawn presents itself to the world, or finding ways to bring our LP community together.
Before Dawn, I was the first hire at a venture-backed food-tech startup. The job description was largely written as I went, hypothesis testing, building a commercial strategy, and figuring things out fast. It's a different world from institutional IR, but the instincts translate more than you'd expect.
I grew up in Vietnam and moved to the UK at 17. Figuring things out in unfamiliar territory has been something of a running theme since, which probably explains why I'm drawn to early-stage ecosystems, and why a room full of new faces feels like an opportunity rather than a challenge.
Outside of work, I bake, cycle and compete in triathlons. There's something about the focus required, whether it's getting a macaron shell right or pacing a long ride, that I find genuinely satisfying. If you ever want to talk fundraising, community building, or the best place to eat in London, I'm your person.
