Bryony’s key focus at Dawn is juggling all of the moving pieces and ever-changing schedules to keep everything running smoothly. She supports a number of our GPs and members of the Investment team.
Before heading to Exeter I was incredibly keen to take a gap year working for an Olympic Event rider. Fortunately for my bank balance, I made the sensible decision to head to Exeter ahead of the fee increases, with the view I could do this later on if I still wanted to…. Fast forward to the end of my degree and I was still obsessed with the sport and so off I went for my belated gap year.
They say to never work with animals or children, and I guess I can see why! Plans were constantly changing and evolving and I learnt to juggle an awful lot of things at once. I had the most amazing time travelling the world with such an elite team of incredible athletes, but 4 years later I decided to make the move to London and transfer everything I had been doing into a more corporate environment. The countryside views were swapped for the bustle of the big City - though the view from Dawn offices is pretty hard to beat on a sunny day.
Despite the similarities perhaps not being hugely obvious, a large proportion of my role was related to planning, organising and making sure everything was as prepared for success as possible, so that my boss could purely focus on performance. To me that is very much the same as my role at Dawn. Organising and planning everything in such a way and adapting to ever changing needs, so that the team and our partners are able to go on and succeed.
In my spare time I’m still very much obsessed with the sport and try to keep my hand in riding where possible - slightly trickier to do from Central London though!
