Frankie is an Accountant at Dawn, supporting the Finance team across corporate and fund accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day finance operations.

I came into finance through maths, having studied at the University of Bristol before moving into corporate finance. I began my career at Universal Partners FX and later joined Brandon Hire Station, where I developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, accounts preparation and understanding how finance supports day-to-day business operations.

I joined Dawn in August 2023, seeking a broader role and the opportunity to work closer to business decision-making. Venture capital appealed to me because of the variety, pace and proximity to companies at different stages of growth, and Dawn felt like the right environment to keep learning.

Being a part of the finance team at Dawn gives me exposure across both the management company and the funds. I work on a range of corporate finance, fund operations and investor reporting responsibilities. That breadth is one of the parts of the role I value most, and it has given me a strong practical context as I continue working towards my ACCA qualification.
