Gurvinder leads finance at Dawn, focusing on reporting, treasury and portfolio insights to support decision-making across the firm and its portfolio.
I started my career as a school leaver at Deloitte through the BrightStart programme, qualifying as a chartered accountant while gaining early exposure to a wide range of businesses and stakeholders. That experience gave me a strong technical foundation, along with a curiosity and attention to detail that I still rely on today.
I then joined Greyhound Capital at an early stage in its growth, where I took on outsized responsibility in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment. This accelerated my development and gave me a broad perspective across fund and corporate finance. The relationships I built there, and at Deloitte, have lasted well beyond my time at either firm.
At Dawn, I focus on how finance can better support decision-making across the firm and portfolio. This includes bringing financial due diligence in-house, improving management reporting and rethinking our use of portfolio data. I am particularly interested in how new tools, including AI, can make insights more accessible and useful, and in finance moving beyond reporting to play a more active role in supporting outcomes.
I am naturally detail-oriented, forward-looking, and enjoy developing others within the team.
Outside of work, I collect antiques linked to my Indian and Sikh heritage, and keep a disciplined routine with the gym and running.
