Hannah is a Partner at Dawn and leads the firm’s investor partnerships and fundraising. Since joining the team in early 2020, she has raised over $1.5bn from blue-chip global investors for Dawn’s funds. Hannah also oversees the firm’s broader marketing, communications and operations, and is a member of the Investment Committee.

I always feel so grateful to have found the role that I have, and to hold it within the Dawn team.

My early career years were quite a hodgepodge of professional exploration - from dabbling in consumer PR, which involved working for brands like eBay, Martini and GHD, through to covering a marketing manager's maternity leave at a wealth management firm, and then spending time in a rotating asset management and banking graduate scheme.

It wasn’t until I heard about ‘Investor Relations’ from friends who had moved into private markets that I felt I knew what I actually wanted to do. I was fortunate to have my first role at the private equity fund Inflexion, which I joined during a period of tremendous growth. Over my five years there, the firm scaled across every area of its business and raised more than £3.7bn from global investors.

By 2019, I knew I wanted to move into early-stage venture and join a team where I could build a long-term home and play a meaningful role in collaboratively shaping and scaling the firm.

Joining the Dawn back in 2020 was, therefore, a no-brainer. I’d been told by several investors that they were a phenomenal team. One who was deeply ambitious about building their platform, with an unrivalled portfolio of Europe's most notable B2B companies and a commitment to building genuine, long-term partnerships with their founders.

I’m not sure back then that I could have envisioned just how fast-paced and rewarding the journey of the last few years would be. And yet, despite 20 years behind us, we are still in the early innings of building and evolving our platform to best shape Dawn to ensure our founders and investors achieve exceptional outcomes.

It is such a privilege to play my (small) part in helping our founders scale their products, teams, and businesses to make a meaningful impact on the world. I’m also tremendously grateful for the formidable investor base we have been able to build. We have brought together a truly global group of investors - from San Francisco to Tokyo - who are behind our team and founders every day, helping us navigate our rapidly evolving world and to capture the endless opportunities ahead for Dawn and the exceptional founders we partner with.
